The Carolyn Rowan Center for Women’s Health and Wellness at Mount Sinai
The Carolyn Rowan Center for Women’s Health and Wellness at Mount Sinai is redefining how women’s health care is delivered. This is urgently needed: decades of underfunding and exclusion from clinical research have left profound knowledge gaps about the female body, resulting in critical health care needs that remain unmet. While funding has primarily focused on maternal and child health, other crucial aspects of women’s health—from hormonal and reproductive health to chronic conditions and mental well-being—have been persistently overlooked. By launching the Rowan Center, Mount Sinai is considering women’s unique health risks and providing the highest quality of care possible for women across their lives.
