Meet the 2026 CCF Benefit Honorees

This year’s CCF Benefit celebrates honorees who are shaping brighter futures for young people: the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, Sarah M. Wood, MD, MS, and the Division of Adolescent Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Watch the video below to learn how their commitment to compassionate care, transformative leadership, and groundbreaking research is improving the lives of adolescents and young adults every day. Then, explore each honoree’s story below.

Building Community

For more than 50 years, the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center has provided comprehensive, integrated health care and support to young people at no cost to patients. Every year, thousands of adolescents receive essential health care through the Center. But for many who walk through its doors, the AHC offers something equally important: a sense of belonging.

"I owe my self-confidence and sense of community to this place," says Felix, an AHC patient for more than a decade. Through in-person young adult support groups and the welcoming energy inside the AHC, Felix found a sense of belonging.

His experience reflects what the Adolescent Health Center has meant to generations of young people: not simply a place to receive care, but a trusted community where they can find support, connection, and the resources they need to thrive.

Leading with Vision

Sarah Wood, MD

As Chief of the Division of Adolescent Medicine and Director of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, Sarah M. Wood, MD, MS, is advancing a vision that recognizes adolescent health as more than medical care alone.

Since joining Mount Sinai in 2024, Dr. Wood has championed initiatives that support the whole person, including mental health, preventive care, health equity, and community engagement. Her leadership builds on the Center's longstanding legacy of innovation while positioning it to meet the evolving needs of today's adolescents and young adults.

Through her commitment to clinical excellence, research, education, and advocacy, Dr. Wood is helping create systems of support that empower young people to thrive and strengthen communities for generations to come.

Advancing the Future of Adolescent Health

For decades, the Division of Adolescent Medicine has led pioneering research that advances the science of adolescent health and improves the lives of young people everywhere.

Research initiatives address some of the most pressing challenges facing adolescents and young adults, including mental health, substance use, sexual and reproductive health, trauma, health equity, and access to care. By identifying emerging needs and developing evidence-based solutions, the Division helps inform clinical practice, public policy, and programs that support young people locally and globally.

This commitment to discovery not only strengthens adolescent care today but also helps shape a healthier future for generations to come.
